After graduating in architecture from the Milan Polytechnic, Bianchetti has mainly worked in the field of industrial design, urban furnishings, and architecture, and issues linked to restoring color to historical buildings.
He wins the ANPEL prize in 1993, Riabita prize in 2003, and the Vele d’Oro Expocon award in 2004. His creations are also selected for Milan’s 16th Triennial, the Rome Casa Idea Design Prize, the ADI Tecnhotel award in Genoa, the London Design Council, the La Jolla Contemporary Design Museum, MOCA in Los Angeles, the 19th Biennial of Ljubljana, Grandesign, and Piedmont Turin Design.

Bianchetti is the author of several publications and essays on architecture. Since 1987 he has edited the international architecture magazine Frames and the trade journal L'architettura colorata.
